For the first time, BITS Pilani WILP extended the convocation experience to students even before the graduation day. Through the ibentos metaverse education platform, students from across the globe were invited to participate in a pre-convocation event. This initiative allowed them to:
- Create Humanised Avatars: Students could design and personalize their digital avatars to represent themselves in the metaverse.
- Explore the BITS Pilani Campus: They were given a virtual tour of their metaverse campus, providing a sense of familiarity and connection.
- Engage in Fun Activities: The pre-convocation event featured several interactive games that allowed students to actively participate and engage with the virtual environment.
In the Memory Game, they had to remember and identify important moments from their time at BITS. There was also a virtual treasure hunt where students searched for Hidden BITS Coins near the selfie point, making the event more exciting. Lastly, they took part in the BITS Knowledge Quiz, answering questions to see how well they knew their college. - Selfie Booth: To celebrate the occasion, students took selfies at the selfie booth and shared them on social media platforms, celebrating their achievements in a personal way.
